Product information
Product information, dietary flags, photographs, and pack sizes are all for illustrative purposes and general advice. From time to time occasional descriptions for whatever reason may appear incorrectly and therefore they cannot be guaranteed. Packaging, dietary classifications and ingredients vary and change and McConnell Thomas will not be held liable for such errors.
Prices
Sizes and prices charged could vary. We charge the up-to-date prices as on the day of despatch.
Special offers, promotions and competitions
From time to time, and in our complete discretion, purchases of goods may be subject to special offers. In the event that such a special offer applies to your purchase, the terms of such special offer shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between the terms of a special offer and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail unless specifically excluded.
We may change the terms of special offers, or withdraw them altogether, at any time and without prior notice. Subject to this, we will honour at the offer price any order placed by you before an offer ends, or is amended or withdrawn.
We reserve the right to offer in our complete discretion different customers different special offers, promotions and the ability to enter different competitions.
Despatch
Orders will be despatched within 5 working days by courier or Royal Mail, whichever is more suitable. In the unlikely event that an order is lost, damaged, delayed or faulty we won't be able to cover for any damages or losses beyond that of replacing the goods. Please let us know of any problem, as soon as you become concerned and within 5 days of delivery for damage or faulty goods.
Out of stock items
If an item is not in stock when we process your order we will process the remaining items so that we get your order to you as soon as possible. If you want us to hold your order if specific items are not in stock please tell us when you place the order.
Delivery charges
Delivery is charged at a flat £6.5 on all orders less than £80 in total value of goods (UK mainland only) unless the item is specifically flagged with additional carriage charge.
Delivery
Delivery will be made to the address specified by you when you register on the website.
We will always try to supply you with the full quantity that you have ordered. If you are not satisfied with the quantity you have received we will arrange with you for non-perishable goods to be returned to us (please note that the goods must not be used and must be in good condition). In the event that the goods delivered to you are incomplete or include incorrect goods, you must notify us promptly. You will not be charged for any incorrect goods or goods which you have not received. In any event, our liability will be limited to the price of the goods not delivered or incorrectly delivered and the cost of delivery.
Returns procedure
We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in fully resaleable condition. Returns should be made within a reasonable time (usually 28 days) and in original, undamaged packaging.*
If we find that the product has not been returned to us in fully resaleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount.

Please email (folks@mcconnellthomas.co.uk) us details of the product you have received and details of your order and we will email you back with further instructions and we will arrange for the courier to come to collect the product you wish to return - free of charge.
Returns via a McConnell Thomas shop
Simply take the despatch note and the product you wish to return or exchange to the shop and tell the sales assistant you bought it online.
Please note: We will refund the price of the item to the purchaser or exchange the product once it is received by us. A refund of the delivery charge will only be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods.
Products we are unable to refund or exchange
We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on personalised, made-to measure/order or perishable goods (such as food, plants or flowers) unless they are faulty. For reasons of hygiene, safety and copyright, we cannot refund or exchange the following products unless they are faulty: Mattresses, mattress toppers, duvets, pillows, personal grooming products, cosmetics, pierced jewellery, children’s car seats, CD, DVD, tapes or other recording media, software or videos.
Delivery charges
We will refund your original delivery charge when a product is faulty or damaged, but not when a product is simply unwanted.

Privacy policy
Under the principles of the Data Protection Act we need to inform you that we hold a record of all the details we need for setting you up and servicing you as a customer. This includes special delivery instructions and dietary requirements if applicable. This information may also be used as a basis for sending you information we think will interest you. Should you wish not to be included in this please let us know, but obviously we need the information on file to service you as a customer. If our records of your name, address, telephone number or any other special information are in any way inaccurate please let us know as we want to maintain up to date records.
We know that when you shop online, you want to know that your name, address, credit card details and any other information you give us is kept safe and secure, and we promise to do that.
Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item. Cookies are small text files that web sites can send to your computer. A cookie can be thought of as your online ID card, which tells our site info about your order and user details. Cookies are not computer programs, and can't read other information saved on your hard drive. They cannot be used to spread viruses, or get a user's e-mail address etc. They only contain and transfer to the web site as much information as the users themselves have disclosed to that web site.
English Jurisdiction
Our service to you is governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws and courts of England. When shopping with us your statutory rights are protected.
Liability
You agree to compensate us in full against all reasonable costs expenses and outgoings incurred by us in obtaining payments from you in the event a failed payment occurs. This will include an administration charge of not less than £20. We may at any time after a failed payment has occurred ask a debt collection agency to collect payment from you.
General
If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We reserve the right to remove, change and alter the web site, the online shop and these terms and conditions without notice at any time. |
